VOLUNTEER SERVICES MISSION
The mission of St. Joseph’s Villa Volunteer Services Program is to
offer meaningful opportunities for members of the community to help children
with special needs learn to believe in themselves.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
St. Joseph’s Villa has many unique and rewarding opportunities for
individuals and groups to play an important role in furthering the success
of children and families. The Villa offers a wide variety of opportunities
and projects, located on campus and at satellite campuses. Also, special
projects can be custom designed to match interests, talents, skills and
abilities. All activities are located on the Villa campus, except where
otherwise noted. Below, please find some of the exciting areas of opportunity:
The VILLA Pals Program is looking for a few good mentors!! If you enjoy working with youth from elementary age to high school age and have the ability to commit to volunteering with a student on a weekly basis we need YOU! The mission of the VILLA Pals Program is to match these students with caring individuals who will cultivate supportive relationships that positively contribute to the student’s academic achievement, personal growth, and social skill and character development. Villa Docent—Volunteers are needed to serve as docents
in the Administration Building. Responsibilities include greeting guests,
answering general questions about our programs and services, and performing
various clerical tasks. Volunteers should be comfortable working independently
and available to commit to a weekly schedule. Flexible volunteer shifts
are available between the hours of 8:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday.
Administrative Assistant positions are available in several
offices on campus for individuals who are interested in volunteering their
time in an office setting. Volunteers will help perform various tasks such
as maintain client files, copying, scanning, and answering the telephone
and preparing information and or admission packets. Each of these positions
offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work with a dynamic group
of professionals.
