Services for At-Risk Youth
St. Joseph’s Villa provides many programs and services to help children who are at risk of failing in the school, home or community setting due to emotional and/or behavioral issues. The Dooley School at St. Joseph’s Villa, The Dooley Center for Alternative Education and The Dooley School at Cherokee Road all feature counseling and behavior management components that equip students with the skills they need to better manage negative behaviors. And students with severe mental health and behavioral issues may attend the Villa’s Therapeutic Day Treatment service and/or have Intensive In-Home Counseling. And the Villa’s Emergency Shelter provides temporary shelter for at-risk children from all parts of Virginia.
