Mission Statement

The mission of St. Joseph’s Villa is to provide children with special needs and their families the opportunity to succeed through innovative and effective programs.

What We Do

St. Joseph’s Villa is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides education and care to more than 600 children and families with special needs each day. We work to help children grow, thrive, and learn, provide refuge and renewal for women and children in crisis, help adults with disabilities lead independent lives, and help at-risk youth realize their dreams.

History

Founded in 1834 as an orphanage and school, St. Joseph’s Villa is oldest and largest continuously operating children’s nonprofit organization in metropolitan Richmond. Since its inception, our organization has evolved into a place where children and families can go to experience a peaceful environment the promotes healing and growth.
