Loads of Love to wash away laundry challenges for Villa students
Loads of Love is the newest program of the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation that helps eliminate a simple but critical barrier to student success. The program installs laundry facilities in schools and nonprofit organizations so that children experiencing homelessness or unstable living situations can access clean clothes at no cost to their families. The goal is to increase students’ confidence and self-esteem, and improve school attendance and participation. We’re grateful Loads of Love has chosen to support students at the Villa!
The Loads of Love grant will allow us to create three on-campus laundry facilities complete with new washers and dryers. The facilities will not only address the challenge of having clean clothes, but also serve as hands-on training sites for our Career and Transition Services. Loads of Load will touch hundreds of lives at the Villa this year. Stay tuned for updates!
