Villa CEO Kathleen Burke Barrett to Receive Humanitarian Award
St. Joseph’s Villa is proud to announce that our CEO Kathleen Burke Barrett will be honored with a 2013 Humanitarian Award from the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities this October. The Humanitarian Awards recognize individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to the promotion of respect and understanding among people of diverse racial, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. Kathleen has spent her entire career in education and philanthropy, providing compassionate help and hope to those in need. Over the past 7 years she has worked to give a voice to the vulnerable children and families served by the Villa and to raise awareness about homelessness, mental illness, physical and developmental disabilities and behavioral problems.
The 51st annual Richmond Humanitarian Awards Dinner will take place on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at the Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump. Visit the VCIC website to learn more and purchase tickets.
