Intensive In-Home Services provide support, guidance, and skills training for children who are at risk of being removed from their home due to serious behavioral issues. We work with families to find fresh approaches to destructive behaviors, helping to break the cycle of negative patterns.

What We Provide

Crisis intervention and diagnostic assessments
Collaboration with parents/guardians to create an effective, positive behavioral management
system
Caregiver training and support
Individual and family counseling
Care coordination with schools and community resources to create a stable environment
Individualized approaches that focus on the unique needs of the child and family
A 24-hour emergency response system, including weekends
Comprehensive discharge planning
Referrals for additional services as needed

Eligibility Criteria

Intensive In-Home Services are available for Medicaid-enrolled individuals who:

Have difficulty establishing or maintaining interpersonal relationships to the extent that they risk hospitalization or out-of-home placement due to family or community conflicts.
Are transitioning home from a foster or residential setting.
Exhibit behaviors requiring frequent intervention by mental health, social services, or the judicial system.
Have cognitive challenges, such as the inability to recognize personal danger or significantly inappropriate social behavior, that put them at risk of out-of-home placement.
Have at least one parent actively participating in the program.

Admission Steps

Referral is received and initial contact is made by Admissions Office to gather client information.
Insurance eligibility is verified and referral is sent to service-specific team.
Referral is assigned to a clinician to set up preliminary assessment.
