The Housing Success Center: A New Vision for Housing and Healing

Housing Success Center

Flagler Housing & Homeless Services is celebrating 35 years of transforming lives, and with this milestone we have embarked on a $3.5 million campaign to renovate one of our historic cottages into the new Housing Success Center. This initiative will reconnect Flagler’s Richmond office—currently at Willow Lawn—to the Villa’s vast array of campus resources while bringing our community-based mental health services under the same roof. By co-locating these services, we will create new opportunities for collaboration, enhance service efficiency, and deliver comprehensive wraparound care to support housing stability.

Partnering with mental health counselors and case managers who regularly assist clients at risk of losing their housing will allow Flagler to quickly implement prevention services and keep more families in their homes. These individuals will also have immediate access to mental health support that will help them establish independence and stability more quickly than relying on outside providers. Through our Transition and Wellness Services, clients can build job skills, receive career coaching, and connect with internships and employment opportunities in the community.

On a larger scale, the Housing Success Center will serve as a dynamic regional hub for homeless services with a focus on pioneering housing solutions. This revitalized building will offer shared meeting space for community providers and youth ambassadors, training for service professionals, and educational resources for households in crisis. With the return of the bus line on Brook Road, the Center is easily accessible, ensuring critical resources reach those who need them most.

Our aim is to create a space that is a catalyst for change and healing. For many clients, crossing the threshold of this building will mark the first step in breaking the cycle of homelessness and, in many cases, multi-generational poverty.
